This is me, in the proverbial nutshell

With a deep understanding of an organization’s business and objectives, I love crafting beautiful, smart and inspired designs that speak meaningfully to intended audiences and deliver business results. Having worked and studied across 9 countries, I bring a strategic marketing mindset and an original perspective into my designs.

My experience as a designer spans across various industries including professional services, real estate, ecommerce, online retailers, hospitality, health, film, food & drink , transportation etc and it has allowed me to develop a keen understanding of the unique requirements and nuances that each sector demands.

Throughout my career, I honed my skills in marketing studios and in house design roles and I have a robust portfolio showing off exceptional designs across both print and digital, for multi-million dollar Canadian companies, as well as businesses of all shapes and sizes from all over the world.

Sitting at the intersection of design and marketing, I have a solid understanding of business objectives, have the experience to identify what makes a business stand out in their market and am able to translate this seamlessly into my designs.

My journey as a designer is a little different than most. I started my career in management consulting helping improve businesses across a variety of industries. My career continued in various business operations roles (workforce planning, community coordination, business development) and it took me from Europe to SE Asia, where I spent 6 years. I had the chance to work for the largest multinationals in the industry like PwC and KPMG.

All my roles had a strong marketing component that required me to prepare corporate marketing brochures, posters, presentations, training materials, business proposals, reports and I discovered I really love visual communication and finding the best strategies to get complex messages across to very busy audiences. In my free time, I was writing short stories, doing

photography, making furniture and always looking for a creative outlet for my passions.

So, I took a wild step, put my business career on hold and got my formal education in Graphic Design. I graduated with distinction from the Graphic Design program at British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, Canada.
